Locked Up Music present: Section X Kumarachi – Start A Fire EP

Nottingham-based Kumarachi joins forces with Locked Up Music bosses Section for a killer collaboration EP.

Section and Kumarachi have spent the past few years shaping their sound to devastating effect, and this can be heard throughout the Start A Fire EP, the next release on Jay B and Solley’s ever growing label.

This release boasts four dancefloor tear outs, which cleverly blend the old school Jungle sound with contemporary production techniques.
The EP starts off with the title track “Start A Fire” where subtle vocal hooks and pads drizzle the intro before scorching amens and 808s set the roof on fire.
“Tokyo Rising” demonstrates the deeper side of the two artists where oriental samples and crisp drums effortlessly blend in to a bonafide roller.
The intense depth of “Fragile” neatly moves from drifting pads to heavy rolling drums, deep subs and switching amens.
This track demands your full attention and guarantees dancefloor annihilation.
Melodic chords and incoherent chants switch to create a stomping 808-driven banger in “Last Phase”, which completes this heavy hitting EP and perfectly demonstrates the capabilities of Section and Kumarachi.

This EP is bigger than the sum of its parts and is set to firmly place Locked Up Music on the Drum & Bass map. Section and Kumarachi provide a perfect balance between the old and the new and we hope it’s the start of the future for these two artists. Thank you for all the support
